Description: Acara Solutions is seeking a Director of Operations & Process Optimization to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity available in in Columbus MS.
Job Summary: Seeking a seasoned operations leader with 8-10+ years of hands-on experience driving field-based project execution across construction, industrial services, logistics, or equipment rental sectors. Proven track record overseeing complex, time-sensitive site operations-including fleet deployment, project delivery, and vendor coordination-while maintaining a strong focus on process improvement and efficiency. Adept at estimating projects, managing assets, and building high-performing cross-functional teams. A pragmatic, boots-on-the-ground leader who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments. Recognized for problem-solving acumen, strategic foresight, and the ability to balance structure with speed. Technically proficient and operationally agile, with a leadership style grounded in accountability, adaptability, and team empowerment. Lead and oversee daily operations, ensuring timely execution of service, projects, and customer delivery. Manage a fleet of field equipment, including deployment, maintenance, tracking, and utilization. Own project estimation processes including scope review, site assessments, and pricing strategy. Build and implement systems and workflows to improve turnaround times, internal coordination, and service reliability. Direct and develop a high-performing team including operations leadership, coordinators, and project support staff. Oversee vendor relationships tied to equipment, logistics, and field support. Define and track KPIs to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Ensure all operations meet quality, safety, and compliance standards. Collaborate with executive leadership on growth planning, process scaling, and organizational development.
Skills / Qualifications: Proven experience in operations, logistics, or project delivery environments. Strong leadership track record, with success managing teams and improving processes. Hands-on experience with fleet or asset management. Skilled in project estimation, pricing, and coordinating field logistics. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable using CRM or project management tools to track workflow and performance.
